THINGS TO CONSIDER:

  • Time and duration of the function – this will affect the amount and type of food you will want to provide. We suggest you stick to a schedule for this type of formal dinner, and build in time for delivery, plating up and food service
  • Size of event – how many people are you catering for? What is the female/male ratio?  Males often have a bigger appetite than females! Always overestimate your head count to allow for last minute attendees
  • Budget – you may decide to create a ‘per-attendee’ budget to streamline the process. We can create a menu to suit a budget of anywhere from $10 to $100 per attendee
  • Purpose/theme of event – all corporate functions are different, and the type of food on offer should reflect and support the overall purpose of the event. For example, is the function being held to make an important business decision? Or is it simply a way for your colleagues to build stronger relationships? Choose an objective and stick to it. And don’t forget to tell us so we can make the most appropriate suggestions
  • Do you have an ample amount of dining tables and chairs for your guests to sit-down and enjoy? If not, you may want to consider our tables and chairs as well as our premium linen tablecloths.
  • What other equipment do you have available? What will you need to hire? Consider things such as coffee machines, crockery, silverware, etc. 
  • Will you require a warmer oven or buffet warmer to keep your food warm?  Something to consider if your event exceeds two hours.
  • Does your event require wait and/or bar staff? Or a function supervisor who will make your life a lot easier by taking control of the service of food and beverages.  Will your event suffer without this service?
  • Do you require alcoholic beverages
  • What food and drink options will best suit the nature of your event?
